Future & Option (F&O) total turnover stood at Rs 1,64,477.64 crore on September 3 and the total number of contracts traded on the day were 40,23,991.
Of the total turnover, Index Futures contributed Rs 12,838.15, Stock Futures Rs 28,455.26 crore and Index Options Rs 1,11,682.62 crore, while the contribution of the Stock Options was of Rs 11,501.61 crore.
For the day, the total F&O PutCall ratio stood at 0.96, while Index Options PutCall ratio was 1.04 and that of Stock Options was 0.42.
The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were Sun TV (1.84), Apollo Hospital (1.67), Hero MotoCorp (1.25), M&M (1.16) and Colgate Palmolive (1.14).
Among most active underlying, Infosys witnessed an addition of 0.10 million of Open Interest in the September month futures contract, followed by Tata Steel witnessing an addition of 0.49 million of Open Interest in the September month contract; while Reliance Industries witnessed a contraction of 0.87 million of Open Interest in the September month futures contract, State Bank of India witnessed an addition 0.06 million of Open Interest in the September month contract and HDIL witnessed a contraction of 0.34 million of Open Interest in the September month's future contract.

Crude oil futures made a smart bounce back from a more than seven-month low and ended sharply higher on Wednesday, as the situation in Ukraine remained unclear after Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko initially said Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed on a permanent ceasefire, but later retracted the statement. Meanwhile, there was some report from Middle East that Islamic militants may have stolen about a dozen commercial planes from Tripoli International Airport last month to use them in terror attacks.
Benchmark crude oil futures for October delivery, surged by $2.66 or 2.9 percent to close at $95.54 a barrel after trading in a range of $95.83 and $93.06 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. In London, Brent oil futures for October delivery gained 2.44 percent to $102.79 a barrel on the ICE.

Credit rating agency, CRISIL has reaffirmed the ratings assigned to bank facilities of Ipca Laboratories. The agency has reaffirmed the Long-Term Rating amounting Rs 50 crore and Rs 20 crore NCDs at ‘AA/stable’. The Short-term rating amounting to Rs 21 crore (reduced from Rs 81 crore) has been reaffirmed to ‘A1+’.
Ipca Laboratories is engaged in manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients and formulations. It operates in 110 countries and its export accounts for 50% of the company’s income. Worldwide the company is one of the largest suppliers of APIs and intermediates. The company holds leadership position in Anti-malarial and Rheumatoid Arthritis area.

Reliance Industries (RIL) has announced mutual and amicable separation in the agreement for strategic partnership between Reliance Ventures (RVL), a wholly owned subsidiary of RIL and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) to co-promote the Model Economic Township (MET) project of Reliance Haryana SEZ (RHSL).
The Model Economic Township project is being developed by RHSL, a wholly owned subsidiary of RVL, in the Industrial Model Township framework. IL&FS became a strategic partner in this project in January 2011.
The Model Economic Township project will continue to be developed in the Industrial Model Township framework on the directly purchased land. The development work has been started over 290 acres of land as an Industrial Colony. Some Japanese majors have established their manufacturing units in the MET Project.

Religare Invesco Mutual Fund has filed offer document with SEBI to launch an Interval Income Fund as “Religare Invesco Annual Interval Fund- Series 1 - Plan A to D”. The New Fund Offer price is Rs 10 per unit.
Entry and exit load charges will be nil for the scheme. The scheme offers growth and dividend option and seeks to collect a Minimum Target Amount of Rs 20 crore.
The scheme will be benchmarked against CRISIL Short Term Bond Fund Index. The minimum application amount is Rs 5000 per application and in multiples of Rs 10 thereafter.
The investment objective of the scheme is to generate income by investing in a portfolio of debt and money market instruments maturing on or before the opening of the immediately following Specified Transaction Period.

Crude oil futures suffered sharp cuts on Tuesday to snap their four days gaining streak. There were concerns over demand growth prospects as the dollar strengthened against some major currencies, the greenback firmed up after the Institute for Supply Management reported that its manufacturing purchasing managers’ index jumped to 59.0 in August from 57.1 in July. Also there was weak Chinese factory data that outweighing persistent worries about the situation in Ukraine. There were mounting concerns that global supply is far outreaching demand

Punj Lloyd is currently trading at Rs 39.70, up by 1.85 points or 4.89% from its previous closing of Rs 37.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 39.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs 39.70 and Rs 38.80 respectively. So far 435653 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 60.85 on 19-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs 20.25 on 04-Sep-2013.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 39.25 and Rs 36.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1318.42 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.16% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.20% and 48.64% respectively.
In a bid to cut its debt, Punj Lloyd is reportedly planning to sell its stake in Gurgaon-based multi specialty hospital Medanta Medicity Hospitals. The company will sell half of its 17% shareholding in Global Health, a company which owns, manages and operates the Gurgaon based hospital for around Rs 300 crore.
Moreover, Singapore’s state investment company - Temasek -- is negotiating with the company to buy its minority stake in super specialty hospital -- Medanta Medicity.
Punj Lloyd provides engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and project management services. It provides services to oil and gas, energy, infrastructure petrochemical, telecom broadband and utilities sectors, among others.

Maruti's August sales rise 27 per cent to 1,10,776 units
The country's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India today reported 26.9 per cent increase in its total sales in August at 1,10,776 units as against 87,323 units in the same month of previous year.
Domestic sales during the month stood at 98,304 units, up 29.3 per cent from 76,018 units in August of previous year, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.

Sales of mini passenger cars, including Alto, A-Star and WagonR were up 8.3 per cent at 34,686 units as against 32,019 units in the previous year.
MSI said during the month, sales of its compact cars, comprising Swift, Estilo, Celerio, Ritz and Dzire were at 46,759 units as against 30,512 units in the year-ago month, up 53.2 per cent.
Dzire Tour sales were at 1,328 units as against 520 units in August last year, up 114.2 per cent.
Sales of mid-sized sedan SX4 were down by 85.6 per cent to 50 units as against 348 units in August of previous year, the company said.

Bharti Infratel eyes acquisition of Vodafone, Idea towers
Bharti Infratel is eyeing the acquisition of Vodafone and Idea towers in India. Sources suggest that the telecom major is in initial talks with both the companies for part or complete buyout while exploring various fundraising options. Currently, Vodafone has 25,000 towers in India whereas Idea has 9,400 towers. However, valuation of towers is yet to be assessed. Bharti Infratel has a cash flow of over Rs 2,000 crore but will need to raise capital to buyout towers.
Rupee up 3 paise against the US dollar in trade
The rupee recovered by three paise to 60.47 against the US dollar in early trade today on sustained foreign capital inflows amid the country's economic growth rate improving to two-and-half year high of 5.7 per cent in the April-June quarter.
Increased selling of dollars by banks and exporters amid soaring equity markets on the back of heavy buying by foreign investors also supported the rupee.
