Power Grid soars 2.2%; net profit rises 31%

Power Grid Corporation of India soared 2.2% to Rs. 141.50 on BSE. The company reported standalone net profit of Rs. 1613.12 crore, registering growth of 31% yoy. The company’s revenue stood at Rs. 5406.58 crore, clocking 24.19% yoy.

The scrip opened at Rs. 141.6 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 142.35 and Rs. 140.6 respectively. So far 2343636(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 72405.21 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 159 on 28-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 120.75 on 10-Sep-2015. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 139.15 and Rs. 131.95 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.9 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.82 % and 7.29 % respectively.
