Nifty & Sensex recover its day’s losses, Dhampur Sugar rallies nearly 13%


Nifty closed at 8,897 levels, down by 2 points or 0.02%. Sensex closed at 28,832 levels, down by 7 points or 0.03%.
 
There were 737 advances, 876 declines and 308 unchanged stocks on NSE, reflecting flattish undertone floating in the market.
 
Bharti Infratel was the top Nifty gainer whereas, Bosch was the top Nifty loser in Friday’s trading session.
 

The BSE Mid-cap Index closed up 0.2% at 13,409 whereas, BSE Small-cap Index closed up 0.3% at 13,620.

A2Z Infra spiked nearly 5% as the company received a letter of award for nearly $7.66 billion. The stock closed at Rs 41 per share, up by Rs 1 per share or 4.6%.
 
Sugar stocks rallied post the ISMA report. The biggest gainer in the sugar industry on Friday was Dhampur Sugar. The stock closed at Rs 209 per share, up by Rs 23 per share or 12%.

 
Ruchira Papers zoomed with gains of more than 3%. The stock touched its intraday high of Rs 142.3 per share, up by 3.26%. The stock closed at Rs 140 per share up by Rs 2.9 per share or 2.1%.

Live Stock Market Updates - Markets trade weak, Sensex down nearly 110 points, Bharti Infratel up over 5%


Sugar stock are buzzing on bourses with major stocks gaining nearly 10%. KM Sugar Mills is up nearly 10%, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries is up by 6%, Sakti Sugars is up by 5%.
 

Bharti Infratel is up by over 5% and is contributing heavily to the BSE Telecom index gains and pushing the index in green.
 
Thomas Cook is sizzling on bourses on Friday and is up by nearly 8%. The stock is witnessing good volume surge at 1.80 times its daily average.
 
At 1 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28,736 down 103 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,867 down 32 points. A total of 15 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 14 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
 

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.2% at 13342, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.04% at 13568.
 
Some buying activity is seen in Healthcare, Telecom, Utilities and Realty indices while, FMCG, Finance, IT and Auto indices are showing weakness on BSE.
 
Bharti Infratel, Reliance, Grasim, Hindalco, Gail, Tata Power and Idea are among the gainers, whereas ITC, HDFC, BPCL, Bosch and IndusInd bank are losing on the NSE.
 
The INDIA VIX is up 0.7% at 13.

Opening Bell - Nifty and Sensex opens in red; Bharti Infratel top Nifty gainer


At 9:15 AM, the BSE Sensex opened lower by 12 points at 28827, while the Nifty50 opened lower by 16 points at 8883 mark.
 

Bharti Infratel is the top Nifty gainer and Infosys is the top Nifty loser in the morning hours. Bharti Infratel is trading at Rs 295 per share up by 1.9%. Infosys is trading at Rs 1008 per share down by 1.5%.
 
There are 579 advances, 796 declines and 485 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting some negative bias floating in the market.
 
Nifty50 has immediate support placed at the level of 8,860 and the next support level placed at 8810. On the upside, Nifty50 has immediate hurdle around the level of 8,925 and, thereafter, the next major hurdle in the range of 8,980-9,000.
 
L&T won order worth 2170 cr. The stock is trading at Rs 1469 per share down by 0.3%.
 
The rupee opened at 66.87 per dollar lower by 17 paise.
 
Asian markets are trading in negative territory. Nikkei 225 is trading lower by 92 points; shanghai Composite index is trading lower by 12 points; SGX Nifty is trading lower by 42 points.
 
FTSE 100 closed lower by 0.55 points; CAC 40 cloesd higher by 3 points; German DAX closed lower by 8 points in Thursday’s trading session.
