Nifty closes above 9080, Sensex up nearly 500 points, VIP India rallies 13%

   Nifty closed at 9087 levels, up by 152 points or 1.7%. Sensex closed at 29442 levels, up by 496 points or 1.7%.

Benchmark Nifty on Tuesday hit its all-time high of 9122 mark, while Sensex neared its all-time high as the investors cheered an unprecedented win by the BJP and closed at its two year closing high.

There were 1035 advances, 616 declines and 285 unchanged stocks on NSE, reflecting bullish undertone floating in the market.
 
ICICI Bank was the top Nifty gainer whereas, Bosch was the top Nifty loser in Tuesday’s trading session.
 
The BSE Mid-cap Index closed up 1.4% at 13557 whereas, BSE Small-cap Index closed up 1.1% at 13767.
 
Alembic Pharma rallied on bourses and gained over 6% on Friday. The stock closed trading at Rs 623 per share up by Rs 21 or 3.6%.
 
Career Point during Friday’s trade gained over 6% and the stock closed trading at Rs 111 per share up by Rs 0.1 per share or 0.1%.

Live Stock Market Updates: Nifty holds above 9070, CESC rises over 3%


   Power stocks like CESC is up by 3.3%, CG Power is up by 3.3%, Adani Power is up by 3%, Reliance Infra is up by 2.7%, GMR Infra is up by 2.2%, Siemens is up by 2.1% and Reiance Power is up by 1.7% on the BSE.

IT stocks like Aurionrpo Solutions is up by 3.6%, Aptech is up by 3.3%, Ramco Systems is up by 2.3%, Quick Heal is up by 2.2% annd Smart Link is up by 2.11% on the BSE.
Meanwhile other stock in the BSE IT index such as, Lycos is down by 3.7%, ISFT is down by 1.7%, Trigyn is down by 1.1% and HGS is down by 1.2%.

At 1 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29402 up 456 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9074 up 140 points. A total of 55 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 30 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 1.4% at 13557, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 1.1% at 13756.

Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Bankex, Pharma, Auto, Finanace and Healtcare while Telecom is showing weakness on BSE.

ICICI Bank, LT, Ultratech Cement, Yes Bank and Asian Paints are among the gainers, whereas Bosch, Bharti Airtel, Idea and Sun Parma are losing sheen on NSE .

The INDIA VIX is down 10% at 12.

Rel Cap appoints Devang Mody as CEO of its commercial lending business


          Devang Mody has been appointed as the CEO of the commercial lending business at Reliance Capital Limited. In the past he served as president of consumer business at Bajaj Finance.
 
At Bajaj Finance, he was responsible for the consumer business vertical that included consumer durables and lifestyle finance, cross selling, credit cards and salaried personal loans.
 
He is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai.
 
Reliance Capital Limited touched its intraday high of Rs 562.20 per share, up by nearly 5%.
 

At the time of filing this report the stock was trading at Rs 560 per share, up by Rs 25 per share or 4.6%.

Opening Bell - Nifty touches all time high of 9122; ICICI Bank top Nifty gainer


At 9:15 AM, the BSE Sensex opened higher by 491 points at 29437, while the Nifty50 opened higher by 157 points at 9092 mark.
 
Within first few minutes of trading, Nifty touched it’s all time high of 9122.75 level, up by 188 points.
 ICICI Bank is the top Nifty gainer in the morning hours on Tuesday. The stock is trading at Rs 283.75 per share, up by 4.88%.
 
There are 1175 advances, 203 declines and 409 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong positive bias floating in the market.
 
The INDIA VIX is trading flat at 13.95.
 
The levels of 9,240-9,300 is likely to act as a resistance and the level of 9,000 will be a strong support for the short-medium term for Nifty50 index.
 
The rupee opened higher by 2 paise at 66.69 per dollar and within few minutes of early trading it touched one year high of Rs 66.2 per dollar.
 
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index closed lower by 22 points, S&P 500 index closed higher by 1 point, NASDAQ Composite index closed higher by 14 points on Monday.
 
The European markets closed in positive territory on Monday. FTSE 100 closed higher by 24 points, German DAX closed higher by 27 points and CAC 40 of France closed higher by 6 points.
 
The SGX Nifty is trading lower by 35 points in Tuesday’s trade.
