OMCs gain as oil prices cool

Oil stocks have gained on back of weak price in International market. Brent Crude Oil has dropped 2.10% and is trading at US$ 36.44/bbl, while WTI Crude Oil is trading marginally up 0.1% at US$36.04/bbl.

S&P Oil and Gas index is trading up 1.45% at 9781.83.

The price of Indian Basket of crude oil price decreased to Rs 2163.09 per bbl today  as compared to Rs 2229.47 per bbl on Dec 04.

Shares of Petronet LNG have zoomed 3.88% and are trading at Rs. 270.15. Share of Reliance are trading high 2.5% at Rs. 1031.15.

Shares of Government owned Oil marketing companies IOC, BPCL and HPCL are trading up 1.35% at Rs. 409, 1.23% at Rs. 914.50 and 2.33% at Rs. 877.40 respectively.

Shares of Gail India are trading up 1.33% at Rs. 377.80.

However, share of ONGC are trading down marginally 0.43% at Rs. 241.

The company’s newly started heavy open die forging unit with the capacity of 15000 MTPA has increased the company’s forging capacity fivefold. The company is receiving good amount of orders from Oil & Gas, power, defence and irrigation sectors for its new plant.
The new plant is equipped with product, quality approvals from all major industrial sectors, ie, petrochemicals, power, oil & gas, defence, aerospace sectors, etc.

The deal may value the Indian outsourcer at Rs 8,000 crore, says report.

The Hong Kong-based Baring PE has initiated talks with France's Capgemini and private equity funds such as the Blackstone Group and the Carlyle Group, according to the financial newspaper.

If successful, the deal will provide more than a 30% internal rate of return (IRR) for Baring, reports the daily.

The transaction will mark Baring Asia's second exit from India after a successful sale of its holding in Lafarge's India unit.
