Chana futures trade higher on rising demand

Chana futures traded higher on NCDEX as speculators created fresh positions, supported by rising demand in the spot market and expectation of lower output. Further, lower arrivals from producing regions and limited stock position in the physical market also supported the upside of commodity prices.
The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 3100.00, up by 0.23% or Rs 7.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3093.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 6840.00 lots.
The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 3154.00, up by 0.13% or Rs 4.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3150.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 95130.00 lots on NCDEX.
