Top 15 stocks in focus today: NHPC, Yes Bank, Bharti Airtel

Stocks to watch
NHPC: The government will sell an 11.36% stake in state-owned hydropower producer NHPC Ltd through a two-day offer for sale (OFS).

Bharti Airtel: Bharti Airtel, country’s largest telecom operator, will announce its Q4 result today. IIFL estimates the company’s net profit to be at Rs.1,179 crore, which constitutes a 5.6% rise qoq and 6.1% drop yoy.

Biocon: The net profit for the quarter stood at Rs. 361 crore. The Delhi High Court has allowed Biocon Ltd and Mylan Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd to continue manufacturing and marketing their breast cancer drug under brand names CANMAb and HERTRAZ.

Yes Bank: The bank will announce its Q4 numbers today. IIFL estimates that the bank’s net revenues are likely to rise to Rs. 1,292 crore, growing at a rate of 32% yoy and 12% qoq

JSW Energy
: JSW Energy is planning to acquire a 1,000 Mw power plant in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh from Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, according to reports.  JSW Energy will announce its Q4 numbers today. As per IIFL’s forecast, the company’s net revenues for Q4 FY16 are expected to fall to Rs. 1,995 crore, at a rate of 8.9% yoy and 24.7% qoq.

Maruti Suzuki: The company's net profit stood at Rs. 1133 crore, dipping by ~11.7% as against Rs. 1284 crore yoy. The company will commence commercial operations in Gujarat four months ahead of schedule in January 2017. The company was to start production from May-June 2017.

IDBI Bank: A consortium of lenders led by IDBI Bank is working on a deal to sell majority stake in Mumbai-based AMW Motors as part of a corporate debt restructuring (CDR) exercise, reports a business daily.

McLeod Russel: Bad weather is taking a toll across India, especially the North-East where tea production might be impacted owing to difficult weather conditions, McLeod Russel CFO Kamal Baheti has been quoted as saying.

Rallis India: The company has posted a net profit after taxes & minority interest of Rs. 322.50 million for the Quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs. 213.20 million for the Quarter ended March 31, 2015.

Oil India: Govt is seeking proposals for sale of up to 10% stake in Oil India, according to reports.

 Axis Bank: Axis Bank, third largest private sector bank in India, reported standalone net profit of Rs.2,154.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016, registering decline of 1.21% yoy and 0.97% qoq.

Bharti Infratel Ltd: Bharti Infratel Ltd, leading telecom tower infrastructures provider, reported consolidated net profit of Rs. 661.70 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016, registering growth of 18.69% yoy and 17.03% qoq. 

NTPC Ltd: The company is entering the wind energy segment for the first time. The companycompany has invited bids from contractors to set up a 100 MW wind energy project - or two projects of 50 MW each - anywhere in India.

Syngene International: The contract research arm of Biocon reported an 18 per cent rise in quarterly profit to Rs 66 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 31 from Rs 56 crore a year earlier. Total revenue rose 31 per cent to Rs 334 crore.

GHFC: The company reported a net profit of Rs.99.09 crore for the March quarter. The company had posted a net loss of Rs. 325.78 crore in the same quarter of 2014-15 fiscal.
 
Agro Tech Foods
: Agro Tech Foods, the Indian subsidiary of global food major ConAgra, reported standalone net profit of Rs.7.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016, registering decline of 50.48% yoy, but growth of 12.46% qoq
 
Raymond: Raymond, India's largest branded fabric and fashion retailers, reported consolidated net profit of Rs. 56.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016, registering growth of 161.85% yoy and 40.16% qoq.

Glenmark Pharma: The company received tentative approval from the USFDA for a drug, which is a generic version of Lo Loestrin Fe Tablets.
