Jammu & Kashmir Bank opens three business units in Udhampur

Expanding its network to under-banked and unbanked areas in the state, Jammu & Kashmir Bank (JKB) has opened three business units at Kud, Mand and Dalsar in Udhampur district. With this, the network of business units of the bank has reached to 789 excluding extension counters, Regional Collection Centres and mobile branches. In district Udhampur, the number of business units is now 25. Jammu & Kashmir Bank is the only state government owned bank in the country with the Government of J&K (GoJK) holding around 53% shareholding in the bank. JKB holds a monopolistic position in the state of J&K constituting majority of the credit and deposits in the state.
