Hero MotoCorp registers 8% jump in May sales

Hero MotoCorp, country’s largest two-wheeler maker, has registered 7.99 per cent rise in total sales at 602,481units for May 2014 as compared to 557,890 units in same month previous year. In May 2014, the company has crossed the landmark six lakh sales figure for the second time, representing second-highest monthly sales ever. The all-time high monthly sale of the company was recorded in the festival month of October last year when it sold 625,420 units of two-wheelers.
Hero MotoCorp is the World’s single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
