M&M’s farm equipment sector reports 3% rise in May sales

Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the $16.7 billion Mahindra Group, has reported domestic sales for May 2014 which stood at 23,132 units, a rise of 2.94%, as against 22,471 units during May 2013. The total tractor sales i.e. domestic plus exports during May 2014 stood at 23,940 units, as against 23,626 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 808 units. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
