Mentha Oil futures trade higher on strong demand

Mentha Oil futures traded up on MCX as traders engaged in creating positions due to strong demand at spot markets from consuming industries. Further, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh and expectation of weak sowing progress in local mandies too supported mentha oil prices.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 799.10, up by 0.35% or Rs 2.80 from its previous closing of Rs 796.30. The open interest of the contract stood at 4200 lots.
The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 812.00, up by 0.51% or Rs 4.10 from its previous closing of Rs 807.90. The open interest of the contract stood at 1026 lots on MCX.
