Jaiprakash Associates reports net loss of Rs 106.48 crore in Q2 FY15

Jaiprakash Associates has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014. The company has reported a net loss of Rs 106.48 crore for the quarter as compared to a net profit of Rs 67.67 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 17.06% at Rs 2736.91 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 3300.21 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013. Jaypee Group is the country’s third largest cement maker. Swiss major Holcim owns majority stake in both ACC and Ambuja Cement with a combined capacity of around 52 mtpa in India.
