Sun Pharma down 2%; recalls 3.8 lakh cartons of osteoporosis drug in US

Around 3.8 lakh cartons of an osteoporosis drug manufactured by the company are being recalled in the US due to the presence of 'unknown impurity', says report.

Sun PharmaSun Pharma Ltd was down by 2% at Rs. 851. Around 3.8 lakh cartons of an osteoporosis drug manufactured by the company are being recalled in the US due to the presence of 'unknown impurity'. 

The scrip opened at Rs. 855.5 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 855.5 and Rs. 844.2 respectively. So far 558435(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 208218.12 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1200.7 on 07-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 706.4 on 24-Nov-2015. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 874.95 and Rs. 838.15 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.97 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.25 % and 9.77 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading below its 200 DMA.
