Live Stock Market Updates: Nifty trading close to 8850; Jindal Steel touched its fresh 52-week high

Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd. is the top gainer in the BSE Small-cap select index trading at Rs 325 per share, up by Rs 15.15 per share or 4.99%.
 
Tata Steel is contributing the most to the BSE Metal index gains. The index is trading at 11785.03 levels, up by 171.28 points or 1.47%.
 
Jindal Steel is the top gainer in the BSE Metal index trading at Rs 100.60 per share, up by Rs 7.65 per share or 8.23%. The stock traded on its fresh 52-week high of Rs 101.70 per share, up by Rs 8.75 per share or 9.41%.
 
Adani Enterprises Limited is trading at Rs 98.80 per share, up by Rs 5.10 per share or 5.44%.
 
 
At 12:00 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28539.41 up 70.66 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8844.45 up 22.75 points. A total of 40 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 11 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
 
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.68% at 13514.14, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.78% at 13573.18.
 
All the sectoral indices on BSE are trading in positive territory.
 
Idea, Bharti Airtel, GAIL, TCS and Tata Steel are among the gainers, whereas Hindalco, M&M, Yes Bank, Bosch Ltd. and Tech Mahindra are losing sheen on NSE.
