Indices weak; CNX IT below 200-DMA

Some buying activity is seen in banking, consumer durables and auto sectors on BSE, while IT, teck, capotal goods and realty sectors are showing weakness

9:40AM: The BSE Sensex is trading down 59 points at 24,496, while S&P Nifty is trading down 9 points at 7,320.
BSE Mid-cap is up 0.3% at 8,488, while BSE Small-cap is up 0.39% at 9,064.
Some buying activity is seen in banking, consumer durables and auto sectors on BSE, while IT, teck, capotal goods and realty sectors are showing weakness.
M&M, Bharti Airtel, Tata Power, Tata Steel and HDFC are among the gainers, whereas Infosys, BHEL, Hero MotoCorp and Coal India are losing sheen on BSE.

Stock news:
Infosys is trading down 6.1% at Rs. 2978 on BSE in the early morning trade today. The stock is trading at eight-month low, while CNX IT is below 200-DMA. Infosys has lost yet another senior executive. The company's president and board member BG Srinivas resigned on Wednesday. "The resignation will be effective June 10," the software major said in a statement.
