Sensex, Nifty surge; capital goods up 2.54%

Some buying activity is seen in capital goods, realty, power and oil & gas on BSE, while consumer durables sector is losing sheen

10:37AM: The BSE Sensex is trading up317 points at 24,691, while S&P Nifty is trading up 83 points at 7,359.
BSE Mid-cap is up 1.34% at 8,632, while BSE Small-cap is up 2.1% at 9,148.
Some buying activity is seen in capital goods, realty, power and oil & gas on BSE, while consumer durables sector is losing sheen.
BHEL, Bharti Airtel, SSLT, ONGC, Tata Power and NTPC are among the gainers, whereas Hindalco, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Autoare losing sheen on BSE.
